The Commodore
The Yearbook of Vanderbilt University. Each volume represents an academic year. Continues Comet for 1887 to 1908. Issues for 1973 have title Centennial Commodore. Issues for 1974 have title Second Century. Issues for 2012 have title Commodore Yearbook. Issues for 2016 have title Vanderbilt Commodore. Volume for 1944 note published, in lieu of The Commodore, the graduating class of 1944 published the tower.
J. León Helguera Collection
The J. León Helguera Collection of Colombiana at Vanderbilt University includes unique primary sources on 17th to 20th-century Colombian history and culture. The result of a half-century of collecting on three continents, the collection is one of the largest and most wide-ranging in the United States. The collection includes books, manuscripts, broadsides, pamphlets (including novenas), royal cedulas, programas, and newspapers.
Pia Musical
Pascal Pia (1903-1979), literary critic, poet, and editor, occupied a prominent place in twentieth-century French literary and intellectual circles. The Pascal Pia Collection contains French literary works, journals, and ephemera. Many of the publications are from the modern period, with emphasis on prose and poetry since the mid-nineteenth century. There are a number of signed copies are in the collection; personal gifts of such major authors as Albert Camus and André Malraux, both good friends of Pascal Pia. Pillar
The Pillar is the annual publication of the study body for George Peabody College for Teachers. Peabody College. In 1875 Peabody was founded after University of Nashville split into two distinct institutions. What was the preparatory school of University of Nashville became University School of Nashville and the college became Peabody Normal School. Eventually, the school would be known as George Peabody College for Teachers. In 1979 Peabody became part of Vanderbilt University and today is known as Peabody College of Education and Human Development., George Peabody College for Teachers., 1949-1979.
